Description
An archive The North Face Purple Label 65/35 Mountain Parka in burnt orange, identified by product code NP2955N.
The shell is made from the label’s signature Bayhead Cloth blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This material is closely associated with Purple Label’s mountain parka range and is designed to combine the natural appearance of cotton with increased resistance to changing weather. Purple Label’s 65/35 mountain parkas are rooted in classic The North Face outdoor designs but updated for everyday urban use.
The parka has a fixed panelled hood with yellow drawcords and leather cord tabs. A high neck provides additional coverage when fully fastened. The main zip sits beneath a branded snap-fastened storm placket.
Storage includes two vertical zipped chest pockets, two large lower patch pockets with shaped flaps and a vertical zipped utility pocket across the back. The cuffs adjust with hook-and-loop tabs, while an internal drawcord allows the lower section to be adjusted.
Inside, the hood and upper body are lined in a dark geometric check. The lower lining is solid navy polyester. The contrast lining, orange shell and silver hardware give the jacket a distinctive late-century outdoor appearance without relying on prominent external branding.
The condition is very good overall. The orange shell remains strong and evenly presented. All visible zips, branded snaps, hood components and cuff tabs appear intact. The only specific issue noted is minor thread fraying around one hood drawstring. There are no visible holes, major stains, broken fasteners or structural faults in the supplied photographs.

About the Brand
The North Face Purple Label is a Japanese collaboration line developed through nanamica and The North Face’s Japanese operator, Goldwin. The range takes established The North Face outdoor designs and updates their materials, proportions and detailing for modern everyday clothing. Nanamica describes the line as combining The North Face’s outdoor foundations and Californian roots with contemporary fashion and Japanese design.
Purple Label has become particularly recognised for understated technical clothing, archive-inspired outerwear and its recurring use of 65/35 Bayhead Cloth. The collection generally places less emphasis on large logos and more emphasis on material development, practical construction and revised versions of historic outdoor garments.
