An archive The North Face Purple Label hooded coat in black, identified by product code NY2962N.
The design combines a clean single-breasted coat shape with technical outdoor construction. Its black Pertex Microlight nylon shell has a subtle ripstop structure and a slightly reflective finish. PrimaLoft synthetic insulation provides warmth without the bulk associated with a conventional padded winter coat.
The coat has a detachable insulated hood that connects around the collar using press studs. Removing the hood creates a cleaner mac-style appearance. The front closes with five black buttons and the two hand pockets use metal zips with branded pull tabs. Buttoned adjustment straps at each cuff allow the sleeves to be secured more closely.
A tonal black The North Face logo is embroidered across the upper rear shoulder. This restrained branding keeps the exterior minimal. The inside is fully lined in a dark green and charcoal windowpane check with fine blue accents. The contrasting lining is visible inside the hood, collar and front opening.
The long 89CM body gives it clear coat coverage while the 56CM chest provides room for a shirt, knit or light mid-layer. It works particularly well with Japanese casual clothing, technical pieces, contemporary workwear and more formal everyday outfits.
The care label confirms a 100% nylon outer, 100% polyester lining and 100% polyester insulation. This is a PrimaLoft insulated garment rather than a down coat.

The black shell remains clean and structurally sound. It retains its slight technical sheen with no obvious holes, tears, major staining or seam separation visible in the supplied photographs.
There is light general creasing across the nylon. This is consistent with normal use, folding and storage of a fine technical shell. A small number of faint superficial marks may be visible under strong lighting.
The tonal checked lining presents cleanly. The detachable hood is included. All photographed front buttons, cuff buttons, press studs, pocket zips and branded zip pulls are present. The tonal rear logo embroidery remains clearly defined.
