Description
A distinctive The North Face Purple Label short-sleeve T-shirt featuring an all-over abstract geometric print across the front and back in black and muted green over a light grey/off-white base.
Rather than being constructed as a conventional jersey T-shirt throughout, the garment combines different fabrics and textures. The Japanese care label specifies 100% cotton for the knitted sections and 100% rayon for the woven sections. This gives the piece a softer traditional T-shirt feel through the knit components while the printed woven areas have a smoother, lighter appearance.
The design is built around an oversized short-sleeve silhouette with wide shoulders, generous chest width and an unusually long 81cm body. A single patch pocket sits at the left chest and continues the geometric print, while the crew neckline is finished with the recognisable purple woven label reading “THE NORTH FACE – made possible by nanamica.”
The pattern mixes triangular forms, diamonds, linear marks and small abstract motifs in a deliberately irregular repeat. The subdued light-grey, black and green palette keeps the graphic relatively easy to wear despite the full print.
An unusual Purple Label piece that sits between Japanese outdoor design, relaxed contemporary menswear and graphic summer shirting rather than a standard logo T-shirt.

About the Brand
The North Face Purple Label is the Japan-focused collaboration line developed with nanamica and operated in Japan with Goldwin. Nanamica describes the line as taking The North Face’s outdoor foundations and combining them with fashion-oriented materials, updated proportions and contemporary casualwear.
That approach is particularly visible here: recognisable North Face casualwear architecture is combined with a more fashion-led fabric treatment, graphic pattern and relaxed Japanese silhouette.
