Description
distinctive releases from the label’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
The grey shell carries an all-over original paisley motif inspired by vintage scarves. Small tonal The North Face logos are incorporated throughout the print, while solid black sections across the shoulders, sleeves and body give the jacket a technical colour-blocked finish. The contrasting sections use matte Taslan polyester taffeta.
The design takes inspiration from The North Face’s well-known 1990s Mountain Light Jacket but reconstructs the silhouette in a substantially lighter form. The main shell uses 50-denier polyester ripstop, with an unlined construction designed to reduce bulk.
Details include an adjustable hood, full front zip, front pocket construction, elasticated cuffs and adjustable hem. Contemporary descriptions of the model also document mesh pocket interiors that can assist ventilation and a two-way front zip.
The combination of archive-inspired outdoor design, paisley graphics and the restrained grey and black palette makes NP2915N particularly strong as a crossover technical and streetwear piece.
This example is tagged M and measures approximately 63cm pit to pit, giving it substantially more room through the chest than a conventional medium jacket.

About the Brand
The North Face Purple Label is a Japan-focused collaboration line developed with nanamica and The North Face. Nanamica describes Purple Label as its collaboration with The North Face operated by Goldwin in Japan. The collection is known for reinterpreting established outdoor silhouettes through Japanese design, materials and more urban-oriented proportions.
Purple Label products have historically had much more limited distribution outside Japan than the mainline The North Face range, which is one reason model codes such as NP2915N are useful identifiers for collectors and buyers searching specifically for Japanese releases.
