Description

An archive THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL Medium Day Pack in navy with a contrasting tan suede base and trim.

The rounded shape follows a traditional outdoor daypack design. Details include a purple Berkeley woven label, suede lash tabs, a top carry handle and a large front compartment. The navy and tan colour combination gives the bag a recognisable early Purple Label appearance.

Storage is divided between a large two-way zip main compartment and a separate two-way zip front pocket. The main compartment is fully lined in black nylon. The back has padded adjustable shoulder straps, black webbing and a branded sternum buckle for additional stability.

This example remains structurally strong and presents well. The navy body has light fading, scattered faint marks and normal surface wear. The tan suede shows creasing, nap variation, mild darkening and light wear around the base and pull tabs. The YKK zips, buckles, webbing and stitching remain intact. No holes, tears, major seam separation or significant structural damage are visible.

Condition

Grade B

Grading type: Standard

Very good pre-owned condition with regular signs of previous use. The backpack remains structurally sound and retains its intended shape. The navy acrylic body has light general fading and scattered faint surface marks. The tan suede base, lash tabs and zip pulls show mild darkening, creasing, nap variation and light edge wear.

The black nylon lining remains clean overall with minor creasing and light signs of use. The padded shoulder straps, adjustment webbing, top handle and sternum buckle remain intact. All visible zips and hardware appear complete and functional.

Visible Flaws

Light overall fading to the navy exterior
Scattered faint marks and small areas of surface wear
Mild dust or lint visible in some areas
Creasing and tonal variation across the tan suede base
Light darkening and flattening of the suede nap
Minor edge wear and loose fibres around some suede pull tabs
Light age-related patina to the metal zip pulls
No visible holes, tears, major seam separation or missing hardware

Some surface marks may improve with careful cleaning, but no removal is guaranteed. Specialist treatment should be used around the suede sections.

About the Brand

THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL is a Japan-focused collaboration line operated by Goldwin and developed with nanamica. It takes established THE NORTH FACE outdoor designs and reworks them through Japanese casualwear, updated materials and everyday proportions.

Earlier Purple Label bags are particularly recognisable for their Berkeley branding, traditional outdoor shapes and combinations of technical construction with suede or leather trim. The Medium Day Pack reflects that approach through its classic rounded profile, practical compartment layout and understated Japanese-market design.
