Description

Stone Island hooded pullover from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, identified by article number 621521254 / 6215 21254.

Unlike a conventional heavyweight Stone Island sweatshirt, this piece uses a lightweight 88% cotton and 12% viscose jersey, giving it a softer and lighter construction suited to transitional and warmer-weather wear.

The design combines a drawstring hood with shortened elbow-length sleeves and a relatively long 71CM body. The chest measures approximately 52CM flat, resulting in a streamlined silhouette compared with many contemporary oversized hoodies.

A distinctive layered patch pocket sits on the left chest, bringing some of Stone Island’s utilitarian design language into an otherwise understated jersey garment. Raglan-style seam detailing around the upper body contributes to the sportswear construction.

The orange colour has softened slightly through previous wear and laundering, resulting in subtle tonal variation and light fading rather than severe colour loss.

Branding is understated. Unlike many familiar Stone Island sweatshirts and outerwear pieces, there is no prominent detachable Compass badge on the sleeve. Identification instead comes through the Stone Island neck label and internal product, composition and Certilogo labels.

Made in Italy from 88% cotton and 12% viscose.

Pre-owned in good overall condition. There is light general fading and normal cosmetic wear consistent with age and laundering, placing it toward the lower end of our B grade. There are no visible holes, major stains, tears, significant shape loss or structural damage.

An interesting older Stone Island piece for buyers looking beyond the standard badge sweatshirt, combining Italian sportswear construction with a lightweight warm-weather silhouette.

About the Brand

Stone Island was founded in Italy in 1982 by Massimo Osti and developed around experimentation with technical textiles, garment dyeing, military-derived materials and innovative finishing processes.

The brand’s first collection centred around Tela Stella, a heavily treated military-inspired canvas that established the material research and functional design approach that became fundamental to Stone Island.

Over subsequent decades, Stone Island became recognised for garment dyeing, experimental textile development, technical outerwear and utility-influenced sportswear.

Although best known for its Compass badge outerwear and sweatshirts, Stone Island’s seasonal collections have historically included a much wider range of experimental jersey, knitwear, shirting and lightweight sportswear. This Spring/Summer 2015 hooded top represents that less conventional side of the Stone Island archive.
