Product Details
Description
A lightweight L.L.Bean hooded jacket combining the brand’s traditional outdoor functionality with a cleaner, more contemporary technical aesthetic.
The jacket uses a two-tone colour-block construction, pairing an olive/khaki upper yoke, hood and chest pocket panel with a light stone/off-white body and sleeves. The contrasting arrangement gives the jacket considerably more visual interest than a standard single-colour hiking shell while retaining the understated outdoor character associated with L.L.Bean.
Constructed from 100% polyester, the fabric is lightweight, smooth and easy to layer, making this particularly suitable as a transitional outer layer through spring, autumn and milder weather. The interior is essentially unlined, keeping the jacket light rather than turning it into an insulated winter piece.
Functional detailing includes a full-length front zip, fixed hood, zipped left-chest pocket and two zipped hand pockets. Elasticated/bound sleeve openings provide a tidy fit at the wrist, while the slightly extended rear hem gives the jacket a practical outdoor profile.
The chest carries a small white embroidered L.L.Bean mountain logo, providing branding without dominating the design. Tonal olive zip tape and muted hardware complement the colour palette.
The garment carries a Japanese-language care label and product code OMRX3, indicating a garment produced or distributed for the Japanese market. However, the exact retail model name and original release season have not been independently verified, so we have intentionally avoided assigning an unsupported archival model name or identifying it as part of the newer JAPAN EDITION collection.
A particularly wearable L.L.Bean piece for anyone interested in outdoor, heritage and contemporary gorpcore styling. Works naturally with fatigues, cargos, technical trousers, denim or relaxed workwear.

About the Brand
L.L.Bean is one of America’s longest-established outdoor companies. Leon Leonwood Bean developed the original Maine Hunting Shoe in 1911 and began marketing it in 1912, creating the product that became the foundation of the company. L.L.Bean subsequently developed a broad catalogue of hunting, field and outdoor equipment, including its long-running Field Coat and later lifestyle and technical outdoor clothing.
The company’s combination of practical New England outdoor design, durability and relatively understated branding has also given older and Japan-market L.L.Bean clothing considerable crossover appeal within contemporary heritage, outdoor and gorpcore wardrobes.
Importantly, while L.L.Bean now operates a dedicated JAPAN EDITION collection developed for Japanese tastes and proportions, this particular jacket should not be described as JAPAN EDITION without further documentary evidence. L.L.Bean describes that contemporary collection as a Japan-originated reinterpretation of its heritage incorporating new materials and technologies.
