Description
The North Face Purple Label H/S Logo Tee in black, identified by product code NT3953N. This Japanese-market model features a large purple box graphic containing the classic The North Face logo and “Berkeley, Calif. USA” lettering.
The Berkeley reference connects the graphic to The North Face’s early Californian history. The company relocated to Berkeley in 1968 and began producing outdoor equipment there. Purple Label reworks this heritage through a more contemporary Japanese design approach.
The body is constructed from plated COOLMAX cotton jersey. Cotton is positioned on the outer surface for a natural appearance and soft handle, while the polyester COOLMAX component sits closer to the body to assist with moisture movement and quicker drying. The composition label lists 63% cotton and 37% polyester through the body, with a 100% cotton ribbed collar.
The shape has a crew neckline, short sleeves, moderately broad shoulders and a relatively long body. The front graphic provides the main visual detail while the back remains plain apart from a small tonal stitched patch below the neckline.
This example remains in very good pre-owned condition. The black body retains a strong appearance with no visible holes, major stains, heavy pilling or significant shape loss. Light cracking and surface wear are visible across parts of the front print.
The NT3953N H/S Logo Tee was released from 2019 and was included again in The North Face Purple Label’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Original Japanese retail was ¥6,800 before tax or ¥7,480 including tax.
